BRAD JULIAN
Brad Julian has been a member of the Annapolis Yacht Club since 2016 and an AYC Foundation board member since 2020. He learned to sail at Severn Sailing Association when his family moved from Southern California to Annapolis at age 13 and quickly began racing in the international 420 class as a junior sailor.
Brad was an original founding member of the Broadneck Sr. High School Sailing Team and then went on to compete in intercollegiate sailing for four years while at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. After several years of working and living overseas, Brad returned to Annapolis and joined the J22 class where he still competes on a local, national, and international level.
Brad is a co-founding partner of Capstan Consulting, a management
consulting firm specialized in the maritime sector and member of AYC’s junior program committee. He is passionate about the joy, life skills, relationships, and opportunities that sailing can bring to people and works on the Foundation’s community outreach committee to initiatives to create access to the sport.
