CEDRIC LEWIS

Cedric Lewis

Cedric Lewis has been a member of AYC since 1994 and an AYC Foundation board member since 2011. After moving to Annapolis in 1977 he joined the Severn Sailing Association (SSA) junior sailing program where he fostered a love for sailing and lifelong friendships.

Cedric opted to play lacrosse in college but continued to race big boats in the summers and crew on the Salvesen’s Peterson 34, Streaker.  He has had much success campaigning several iterations of Mirage. This includes winning a North American Championship, and East Coast championship in the J-29, winning the Lewmar Cup in the Mumm 30 class, and finishing 2nd in the 2007 J105 North Americans with 69 boats. Cedric is also active in Team Racing for AYC.

Cedric has served on numerous AYC committees as well as the Hospice Cup.  AYCF gives him the most satisfaction because of its mission to give back to the local boating community through grants for amateur

sailing, contributing to maritime related charitable organizations, and scholarships for underprivileged youths to attend sailing programs. Cedric is president of Osprey Property Group, a real estate development and property management company. He has been married for 30 years and has one grown daughter.  Other interests include hunting, fishing, and traveling.
