ROB FLAHERTY

Rob Flaherty is Chairman Emeritus (retired) of Ketchum, a top-five global communications firm with 60 offices and affiliates in 34 countries. Over the course of 32 years at Ketchum, he served as director for the New York office, head of the global corporate practice and then a combined 13 years as global president, chief executive officer and chairman. As a counselor Rob focused on corporate reputation and crisis management for clients including IBM, FedEx, Mastercard, PepsiCo, Amazon and six Olympic Organizing committees from 1996 to 2014.
Outside of Ketchum, Rob has served on the board of trustees and strategic advisory boards of four 501(c)3 organizations, including Room to Read, a global literacy and girls education charity and three professional societies, including the Page Society, the leading organization for chief communications officers and agency CEOs.
Rob and his wife Tammy relocated to Annapolis to be closer to their children and grandchildren in 2020 and are active AYC members. They live on Mill Creek from which they cruise the Chesapeake and its creeks on their two boats, a Chris Craft Calypso 30 (outboard bow rider) and a 22-foot electric picnic boat/cruiser.
