On behalf of the Seafarers Foundation and the Summer Youth Program, I extend my heartfelt thanks for the beautiful and inspiring AYCF Friends & Family Celebration. The event was truly meaningful for our Junior Sailing Scholarship recipients, their families, and our Board members who attended. It was a joy to meet the many partners connected to AYCF and to witness the strong community of support surrounding our youth.

With support from the Annapolis Yacht Club Foundation, Team Something Chill traveled to Marstrand, Sweden, from June 29 through July 4 to compete in the GKSS Nordea Women’s World Tour Match Race—one of the premier events on the Women’s World Match Racing Tour. Jonah (Jonathan) and Orly Pearlman from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School, who sail with the Severn Sailing Association, were the grateful recipients of High School Sailing Scholarships during this 2026 Spring Season. Team Something Chill recently returned to Eastport Yacht Club for another stop on the Women’s World Match Racing Tour. After winning the U.S. Match Race Qualifier at EYC just a few weeks earlier and securing a berth to the Prince of Wales Cup, the team was excited to return to Annapolis and build on that momentum.

The Annapolis Yacht Club Foundation supported Koralina McKenna’s trip to compete in the 2026 ILCA 6 Masters World Championship in Athens, Greece. Over six days of racing, 159 competitors from 24 countries came together to compete at a world-class level. Among the 159 competitors, only 28 were women, and just three from the United States.

The Annapolis Yacht Club Foundation supported sailor Morgan Rosenthal’s trip to Venice, Italy, to compete in the 2026 Marco Rizzotti Team Race in Venice, Italy and to to compete in the North American Championship in Halifax, Canada.

Team Something Chill recently competed in the U.S. Match Race Qualifier hosted by Eastport Yacht Club in Annapolis, Maryland. The team delivered an outstanding performance, winning the event with a dominant 10-1 record and qualifying for the Prince of Wales Cup, the US National Match Race Championship, which will take place in San Diego, California from October 16–18.

Recently, Leo Boucher completed two regattas and a training block in Croatia, where he competed in the Croatian ILCA 7 Nationals hosted in Split, Croatia, followed by several days of training in Kaštela, Croatia, the venue for the ILCA European Championship.
